I'll stamp all over 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial financial rewards.

Prediction and Belief

The 28 year old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
